I had tried out Atkinson Dithering and Floy Steinberg dithering and came to the conclusion, that Atkinson works great for UI and browsing. Floyd Steinberg excels at Images and Video. So instead of having to choose between the two I made a hybrid mode that decides based on grey level thresholds which algorithm to use. It works quite well and brings us one step closer to a universal EINK mode."
